After a swift All-You-Can-Eat Chinese Buffet, in Downpatrick, we headed home and set up the map there instead.
What did you think of it? I haven't been and have heard mixed reports?

I love the place... I go once a week and have never had a bad place of grub, or three  ;)

You gotta give it a go!

I'm still recovering on the sofa from the three plates of Chinese so I haven't really looked at the map since we threw the dart at it.

There's a decent wee carpark at the foot of Hen which will be a handy place to start from.  I'll get a look once my belly has subsided, and I've got the kids in bed, but if anybody wants to suggest a scenic route feel free.

That looks brilliant Mourneman, a lovely spot. I make it here : J 25254 26042.
Would be a nice dander from Leitrim Lodge, we've been wanting to check out their secure parking for a while.

Defo. A bit of a fire makes a world of difference, especially in winter. Though if there's a enough of us we can always go for halves.

If we all bring one we should be sorted for a good few hours of chat! (And a drink or 2!  ;D)

Depending on numbers, what about leaving vehicles at meelmore and leitrim lodge and walking between the 2, the spot chosen is just off the mourne way, could follow it round? Just a suggestion, I'm happy to go with the flow!

Not sure my fitness level is totally up to that sort of trek yet, I haven't shaken off all the turkey and booze from Chrimble :) I don't mind picking people up from Meelmore and bringing them round if they want to leave cars tho.

No worries, we have all week to formulate a plan, like I said, I'm happy to do whatever!

Totally, I don't want to be holding anyone back either. We can defo run a few different routes and meet in the middle, that sort of plan has worked really well in the past.
