Yeah same here works out at 64 notes each for 5 in a car. Stenaline was a few notes dearer plus stranraer is a good bit further south than troon. £64 sounds like a fair price for a rtn ferry to me and the 135 mile drive is just under 3 hrs so that would get you in fortwilliam for 22.30/23.00 ish on the late crossing... maybe a bit too late so getting an earlier ferry might be something to consider. Anyways i think this might be a good excuse for a face to face in a real niwild boozer some night with the def peeps goin to get stuff sorted.

Example dates i looked into...

318.00GBP

I agree we really need a meet, the earlier ferry leaving at 7.15am seems reeeeeaaaally early but would prob be better to get there and sorted. The price starts to go up to around £90 with an extra car +1 or £80 with extra car +2.

It will all depend on the group decision and obviously our thoughts on committing to booking it given we won't really know the mountain conditions untill closer to the time.

Is the mini bus scraped then? How much was it going to cost us to hire one, or does taking a mini bus not only cost money in itself but also hike the price of the boat up? Sorry if thats not "worded" very well! I agree though we def need to meet asap, get names, and get it booked!

After a few PM's the consensus seems to be The Old Ballyrobin Inn at Aldergrove suits the majority so all we need to sort is a day/night and time.
