Donard via Glen River GoPro Video
« on: August 13, 2014 »

I bought a GoPro to take to Kilimanjaro with me. I had never used one before in my life so I decided to try it out yesterday on the most popular route in the Mournes; Slieve Donard via Glen River.
I was trying to avoid filming other people at the saddle and at the summit.
I added some of that free music from YouTube and I am actually quite pleased with the results. I might start doing this for some of the other main routes / peaks.

If anyone want's a look;

Available in 1080p

That's nicely done Sean, the footage looks crisp and clear and takes in some grand views.
A great little test of the equipment and editing.

Thank you.

I do have to say though, GoPro do make it very easy; the camera and their free editing software are both so easy to use.
Fantastic gadgets for the price.

Awesome. So you recommend the GoPro Hero3+ Silver?

Temptation overtook me, Argos is selling the Hero3+ Silver for £199, seemed too good a deal to pass up.
What was the pole you were using and would you recommend it?

I got mine for the same price on Amazon.

The pole is from this kit: http://www.amazon.co.uk/dp/B00KU70F5S/ref=pe_385721_37986871_TE_item

Not official Gopro but the quality seems really good so yes, I would recommend it.
It includes a pole, chest mount, head mount, wrist mount and a couple of other attachments.

I also bought a couple of 64Gb Class 10 Samsung Micro SD cards from Amazon also. About £22 each if I remember right.
