The Mourne Mountains is the setting for many local myths and legends. There are stories of 'The Blue Lady', a woman abandoned by her husband who's ghost still haunts the mountains,

That's a really interesting link. However I am no longer flying solo so I'll just have someone I need to outpace if there are any weird supernatural events. However it's much more likely that there will be Supernoodle events than Supernatural. (I'll not be watching Blair Witch or Dog Soldiers before I go though!)

My main worry is whether it's still a good idea to bivvy instead of tenting it since the weather is gradually deteriorating!

tarp and bivi will be totally fine in donard wood. wish was going too....but there's always next time...best of luck mate  ;D
