Perhaps Google's customising the ads for me (in that case I'll delete this post, delete my browsing history, install tor and say no more about it  :o )...but I just had these lovely ladies presented to me...

Does anyone know if Easyjet fly to HuNan?

Ah damn you google! It tends usually to show me outdoor ads - and the occasional one for boiler servicing

Sounds lovely, are you there for the night or just day?
The ads are personalised but Google is notorious for being a bit random. Site owners can't control what is shown.

Ed

Are you sure you haven't been browsing in your sleep ;-)

I'm pretty banner blind so interestingly its only the inappropriate ones I tend to notice. Really must buy a boiler just so I can service it

Just the day...but you know that may change (see other post). :D

Adsence does allows you to blacklist general categories as well as what they call "Sensitive categories" (dating, weight loss, politics, etc)  of ads that are displayed, as well as blacklist named advertisers...I've had to do that on one or two of the site I've ran....saying all that Mr Admin may not want to lose the clicks if people are now looking for the  advert in question :)

My eyes seem to have an automatic add filter as I rarely notice them, i've just done about 100 screen refreshes and these are the ads i get

direct line insurance
sport pursuit
bandzoogle
giffgaff
BT
fisher investments uk
T mobile
ESPN
chromebook
bmi healthcare
netflix
no roads kayaking
fitness singles (this one of one the few i actually notice!)
eurostar
more than insurance
healthfoodlovers
east coast trains
nexus 7
forex  (dare you to google that one )
think outside, no box required

I use adblock free to download and use works for facebooks silly ads too ..

ChuckMcB

Yup, I use ad block as well, but I know that it pays the bills (hmm perhaps not..but it gives them a couple of pennies), so for sites I use regularly I whitelist them and give a random ad a click.

@Liam: 100refreashes..quiet night last night :P

So did you go for Bella, or Noomnim?

ChuckMcB

In the end Noomnim, Bella's b1tch, not so much as a  thank you for the three gifts I sent her ;)
