Thanks guys. Does the snow usually stay on the higher areas of the mournes for a while now? Or will it all disappear  if it gets a days rain? I am aiming to get back again over xmas if not before. I'm new to the mournes this year so yesterday was a first for me seeing snow up there.

depends how cold it stays, if if warms up a bit some rain would see it go, but if it stays cold then it can hang around for a while? If been up there at easter when its been snowing? Im of the opinion that we will be getting some heavier stuff before the end of the year!  ;D

No bother. I'm hoping to get back up before xmas and i have plenty of free time in January and February before things get busy at work again so would like to get back for a few more days then. The snow makes it all look very special.

That first pic is a cracker! My browser window has cropped a tiny bit off the right (unless I scroll) but it is actually the perfect crop.
