That looks awesome. How does the Hares Gap side compare to Donard for difficulty?

It's much eaiser and not as drawn out. I mean once you reach the hares gap you 2/3 the way up. I think she's steeper but over a smaller distance. ;D

So planning wise I recommend we meet at 1pm on Sat in the coffee shop at Meelmore Lodge (Link)  (http://www.meelmorelodge.co.uk). They have secure parking from £4 (plus an "additional" fee for overnight - not sure how much) and there's a route from there to the Trassey. From there we'll walk to Hares Gap then hopefully on to the top of Bernagh to camp.

Sound ok?

Haven't been on here for a bit, but I'm still defo up for meeting up with everyone on Sat night!

Everything is gonna be very last minute (as it always is for me), but I'm maybe looking at heading down tomo eve and having a short dander, camping up (maybe listen to some erasure?  ;) (sp?)) and then tenting somewhere, then a days walk, possibly over the route of some of last years MMM and then meet up with y'all on Bernagh.

edited to ask what time y'all think you'll be camping up for?

Hopefully by the time I get there the only pitch left won't be in a subsiding swamp :-\

I might have someone else to join the party, but we'll see what happens on that front.

Whats the plan for Sunday, and is it still lightweight season or are people giving in to carryin a couple tins with them? I don't want to be carrying beer for 2 nights if I'm gonna be the only alco there  ::)

Let's not start the lightweight debate again :D
I think everyone is suffering from the old "small-pack-size-too-much-to-fit-in-not-enough-lightweight-gear-itis"
and as for being the only alco, well you can be sure everyone will have some sort of tipple.....whether its tinies or hard stuff................. I would say given everyone is oversubscribed pack issues the tipple will be small and strong  :-X
