Shelter stone,Ben crom camp

Camping out this Saturday night below the Shelter stone on the shoreline of Ben crom reserve,with,bigE,spud,planing on doing some navigation,pacing & timing,all welcome to join us ;)

where are you thinking of doing the navigating?

Well bigE & myself are in no rush home on Sunday,so we're open to ideas,we've been doing lots of pacing & timing & compass work,so it would be nice set out some navigation exercises including some interesting techniques bigE has learned,also feature finding,also some night nav,should be a good weekend

Spud & myself were unable to get in contact with Big E last night so we camped out at Annalong woods again,arrived about 5pm yesterday.

we set our alarms for 6am & walked up above Percy caves to watch the sunrise

I just changed phone & number and didn't think to give Mourneman my new number....oops ::). So ended up having a solo camp at the shelter stone, it was a great night for star gazing  :D seen Perseus, Draco the Dragon, CASSIOPEIA, AURIGA (capella) and the Great Bear....great stuff

i missed out on the camp by going to the cinema instead to see skyfall (waste of time  ::) , wait for the dvd ) so tried my usual breakfast meetup but them lads had such an early start i didn't evevn pass them on the way back! so took a wee dander up the hares castle instead
