Just thought i'd share with you guys a new bladder pack i've just purchased from Cotswolds.My previous bladder pack was a highlander 3 ltr pack which after 9 months began to leak,also it was a (seam shut filler) which can be quite tricky to fill & seal,so i avoided that type of one this time.I had hoped to spend around fifteen pounds but after a good look at the Osprey i felt a few more pound makes a lot more sense

at at twenty one fifty is came packed with some nice features.

firstly it a screw top,it's made hyroform which is more rigid than rubber.

it has a plastic backing which holds it straight inside a pack.

the tube it easy taking off for cleaning.

its got an easy twist tap for water on/off

never bought an osprey product before,reckon they know what they're doing alright,very happy with it

I have the same water reservoir. As Mourneman has already pointed out there are some good features.

The curvature of the rigid plastic backing ensures that there is no buldging in your rucksack. Last weekend I was out without the reservoir and had shoved an empty bottle down the inside of my pack and felt all too well how uncomfortable bad packing can make your carry.

The plastic that surrounds the screw top is useful for carrying and handling the reservoir. The cut out groove is useful for carrying the full reservoir in an upright position and the straight section below the screw top gives good grip when filling the reservoir.

The aforementioned groove also works in conjunction with Osprey packs that have a little clip system that interlocks with the groove to suspend the reservoir in a secure position. I like the fact that this holds the reservoir in a neutral position rather than it lying on the base of your pack, possibly putting the weight on your lower back.

Mourneman, does the tube detach easily? To my shame I haven't cleaned the thing properly yet. I have gently hoked around with the tube and did suspect that by pressing the dark grey section in and pulling the tube with an upward action that this would release the tube however I wasn't confident enough to pull too hard on the flexible pipe.

truth to told,the girl in cotswold showed me how to release the tube,think it was put down on grey tab & pull clear,lol
