I am sad to see this happen, I think bear is a big inspiration to me and I know he is to many others.

Knowing this, though this will not be the last we see of him. Discovery is only one channel, can you imagine how many others will be wanting to form some sort of contract with him.

Im sure he wont be down the brew signing on, so I wont feel too bad for him, as previously said, Im sure plenty of channels will take him, if not theres always channel 5! lol

Brilliant!

Thing I dont get is why so much of his stuff is staged?  Clearly he can do all of this stuff but why the airlifts out to hotels etc.

Is it the health and safety police on the channels or is it just lazyness?

The break from Discovery is probably a good thing for him, he can now do more sensible shows.

Yeah but here's the question: your helicopter goes down in the Jungle.... which celebrity outdoorsman / women would you want with you? .... Bear would be brilliant fun, Ray Mears would get you out safe and with a level of comfort. Bruce Parry would befriend the natives and have you licking toads around the campfire. I think it has to be Ray Mears.

Mantracker, he would get us out of the jungle, and if he didnt we could eat his horse lol :). My first choice was Lara Croft however though unfotunately she is fictional.
