New and ready for ideas
« on: January 06, 2012 »

Hi all,
New to this forum and only heard about it through the Outdoors NI awards you just won. I was following the comp for other sites I use. Congratulations to all the users and admins for winning.

I am Mickey my main interest is in mountain bikes but I am a fairly active outdoors person. Adventure racing, trail running, endurance racing, mountain Climbing/walking, Climbing etc. Highlight in 2011 was the completing the Coast to Coast Ireland. The final stage was a run from Rostrevor to Newcastle through the Mountains. Truly amazing way to finish a multisport race.

I recognise a few names from other sites I use the rest you will probably get to know me through race reports or videos I do.

It is a brilliant wee series really good fun for all levels. A great way of combining a lot of peoples favourite disciplines in one action packed race.

Thanks. Yeah the camera is a GoProHD Hero. Great camera for the outdoors.

The Roar events are multisport events as supposed to Adventure racing. The difference being multisport follow a planned route on a marked map with marshals at junctions etc. Adventure Races have orienteering and multiroute options. Both disciplines are great and anything that gets people into the outdoors is good in my eyes but there is a difference!

Cheers for viewing the videos.

Roc D'Azur is a big one in France. Loads of other big races in the French Alps. I havn't raced competitively abroad but like to get away for events. Been dreaming of getting to whistler canada maybe one day!

I have a few possible races this year, ROC D'Azur France a 24 hour in Italy and the European Singlespeed championships. Just have to see dates and see if I can get away.

Thanks again for viewing.
