Foraging and bushcraft.... Castle Espie..

Castle Espie Wildfowl and Wetlands Centre
Food from the wild - Saturday 15 October
Join our resident expert in a search for food around the grounds of Castle Espie. Food can be found in the most unexpected places. Finding new uses for vegetation around you the event will open up a new approach to foraging and bushcraft. 2pm and 3.30pm.

My eldest son is in Newcastle cubs..  and is hoping to get a badge from this? Dont know if that how it works? but im going to take him to the 3.30 slot

I would have liked to have gone to that, but I checked the forecast and saw all the rain coming and decided to give it a miss as my kids think they will melt in the rain  ::)

Didnt catch his name.. my toddler decided on mutiple toliet breaks, and in the end,  i met them at the end of the walk.. just in time to taste some wood sorrel.. ive never eaten anything so close to the ground before :-\   ;). Everyone enjoyed it, but i really would have loved to done the whole walk..

E is the same and Maddy is to young to understand..  My walking partner is crying off tomorrow..  so they are doing Meelmore and beg tomorrow.. (its a surprise  ;D)  got them new boots, so it'd be rude not to break them in  ;D
