HELP!! Tent repair.

So I had my new tent out at Summer Madness and some lovely person tore a guy line off. SO ANNOYED. its still structurely sound but i really want to fix it. so the line is torn off from the fabric of the fly sheet, there is a little seam type hem thing and the rope is still attached to the black thick material so... do we reckon I could just stitch it back on the black material to the seam hem thing. Does anyone have a better idea??

Any photos...?

ZipYard, Lisburn Road are very good at tent repairs...  Milo, by big Labrador burst through the mesh door of a tent I'd borrowed of a friend and Zipyard hand stitched it all back together to neat you can hardly see the tear anymore...

If its the tab of material that holds the guy rope to the tent then you might be able to repair the tent using one of the McNett products.  Depending on the fabric of your tent (important!) you may be able to use either Seam Grip or SilNet to glue the guy rope tab back to the fabric of the tent.  However, given a guy rope takes quite a bit of tension it may need stitched instead/as well to take the strain.  If you do stitch it make sure you use either Seam Grip or SilNet (again, very important you choose the right one depending on the fabric of your tent) to seal the stitching.  All those little holes will leak water otherwise.

Personally if it needs stitched then I'd take Drongo's advice and drop it into Zip Yard unless you are handy with a needle and thread.  I've used Zip Yard in Ards to repair some of my gear and whilst they aren't outdoor specialists they know what they are doing.  In fact it was Zip Yard in Ards who repaired the OMM rucksack I got off RedLeader after the infamous fox incident!
