  • Fred! Come over here and smoke the meat!

If some of you guys are doing a wild camp on the saturday, Lough Altan may be a good spot to stay for the night ,Awesome scenery (if its not misty), theres some old farm buildings for shelter and fresh water, ive been thinking about staying there myself when i get the chance. Youl have done quite a bit of the walk by that stage and i reckon youl be ready for a mohito.

I'm still in... and would still be mad keen to do the Glover Highlander.  If I'm going to be travelling all that way I would like to make it worthwhile and have a bit of a mini adventure.

Man... Those Sherpa's from Kilimanjaro really do have you spoilt.

I'm going too but can't be bothered carrying my Ruck Sack!!!  Does anybody want to come along and carry it for me?  You will be rewarded with all the Super Noodles you can eat, but you have to carry em too   :D

does anyone want to share my Vango Tornado.

please fill in the following questionnaire:

1. Would you consider yourself
a - slightly gaseous but can hold it in
b - a right parper
c - silent, but deadly  8)

2. Do you snore:
a - never
b - i've never noticed, but my wife does punch me a lot in my sleep for some strange reason
c - no more than matt  ::)

3. Does your wife know you openly offer to sleep with men:
a - she trusts me 100%
b - she's always keen to learn new things
c - what happens in donegal stays in donegal   :-*

if you answer all a's then you have a chance of success, any b's and money will need to change hands, any c's then you wouldn't even get my teddy bear in that tent

could you also provide width of said tent A, width of said Lenny B.
A-B must be > C + D
[where C is width of tentmate and D is width of the rucksack "wall"  (to prevent inadvertant spooning after a heavy night drinking from either party]

Yeah Liam that was witty, you put your heart and soul into that one lol.

Whorya and myself got back from donegal yesterday and had a brilliant time, the both of us went up on friday night and parked at the base of muckish, went up the miners track to the top were we made camp , drank wine and burnt firelogs, we were the only ones up and had the place to ourselves, class.

Woke up really late and had to bomb it down muckish to meet the rest of the crew that arrived up. Then the real walking started. We had a couple of maps printed off and were able to cover the peaks through to Altan lough, were we went for a quick dip, that was us walking from 12oclock through to about 6ish, Altan was superb and a great area for camping overnight. We were planning to do Errigal but as we woke late and were pushed for time we decided to do it on the sunday morning, this went badly wrong as we may have had a few to many beers that night and the weather had closed in on the sunday.

Youl have a really good time but it needs a bit of co ordination as to were to park and two cars would be recomended. Andy, im not to sure if it would be one for wee sally.

I took my camera but the battery wasnt charged so whorya will probably post his pics some time soon. Enjoy yourselves.
