I see from their website that Jackson Sports are holding a "Climbing Gear Demo Day". Might be a good one for those interested in starting climbing, or who need to expand their climbing rack!

We are holding a climbing demo day at Tollymore Mountain Centre on June the 18th 2011 (see here for directions: http://www.tollymore.com/). At Jackson Sports we realised that no one ever gets to see the full range of climbing hardware from the suppliers out there - there simply isn't enough space in our shop! Because of this, we have spoken to some companies and they have agreed to help us out with demo kit and sample sets. This is the opportunity for YOU to tell US what you feel about the products and what you would like to see being sold. We would welcome climbers old and new to come and join us, as we will have:

Demo harnesses from DMM and Wild Country
Demo Bouldering pads from DMM and Wild Country
Demo rock climbing shoes from Red Chili
Full sample ranges from DMM, Wild Country, Red Chili and Clog to view.

There will be a discount voucher for everyone who attends. This can be used online or instore in addition to our already great offers for a limited time. The event kicks off at 10am and runs until 4pm, giving everyone a good opportunity to come and have a try.
