Game Fair - Shanes Castle
« on: June 23, 2010 »

Anyone heading to the game and country fair at the weekend?  I had been planning to get a day in the hills, but I'm tempted to go to this as haven't been since I was a wee lad!

I'm glad I seen this post.  I went to the Game Fair in Ballywalter a month or so back and the Ticket for that gives you free entry into the Shanes Castle event. I thought it was in August some time  ???.

It's definately a good day out.

Thanks Suspectmonkey

Just a quick Public Service Announcement!  Todays Belfast Telegraph has a coupon in it for a half price family ticket to the game fair.  Apparently you save £12.50 with it.

Update - just read the coupon properly and you need to collect two coupons.  It doesnt say whether or not the coupons are only in todays paper though, so I guess you would have to buy two copies of the Tele.  If any one is interested I will bring the coupon with me on Sunday as it is no use to me given that there will just be me and Kat.

I wasn't sure what to expect with a game fair but everyone seemed to have fun including the kids. Plenty to see and do, but vastly overpriced.

Ha! small world, I ended up bringing a Formula Ford up to the show for a friend 'cos with the Classic car show on at B'mena there wasn't enough cars for the Game Fair. I got in for free but at a tenner a head they must have lifted some money.

Ahh I was having a wee nosey at that motor, although I must admit I was more drawn to the rather beautiful 3 Series a few cars up from it!

Kat and I had a great time, didn't leave until after 4.30!  Our media blackout nearly failed though when I came across a group of guys watching F1 on a portable :o  Sorry didnt get to say cheerio, but I was just in my element with all those stalls to look around ;)  And I couldnt resist purchasing one of those Blade Tech sharpners for my Mora!
