I was interested to come across a pile of cut stone that must have been cut for building the wall but weren't used. Not easy to shift from here up to the wall.
worse, they were probably destined for belfast as kerbstones, abandoned when concrete became a more viable method for kerbstones

Phil, you really have redefined the definition of an afternoon dander :o

I kinda feel sorry for Lamagan.  I think too often it is somewhere in the middle of a long walk and so it just feels like an obstacle along the way.  It is actually a great spot, as you say, to actually pause have a brew and have a look around.

Now on the 7 7s you are permitted to call it all the names under the sun ;) ....and you will!

It was posted twice, not just you. Sorted now. Sorry!

Lamagan isnt actually too bad from the Cove side, the first few times I climbed it was from the Binnian side and I think that has affected my view of it for life!

Long shutter speeds, in this case just over a second for both. Tripod or some other means of holding the camera dead steady essential.

Lamagan is a nice spot for a spot of lunch but I agree never a nice climb.....great photos!

Thanks Claire
