my north face hedgehog GTXs have died
in need of a new pair of comfortable walking shoes

anyone bought recently, what did you get?

never though i'd be replying to my own thread  :P
just browsing here so why not update
i ended up getting pair of Merrell MOAB FST

they have been decent enough although there is a clear point of failure where the toes bend. the mesh material has ripped on all four sides. i think they have redesigned them since

i picked up some Repair Glue Gel from Lidl a while back and it's been great for shoes. dries rubbery and flexible. i'd recommend grabbing some if you see it (Pattex yellow tube )

use to wear boots all the time but now i am always wearing salomons trail shoes, feet might get a bit wet but i can live with that, just love the lightness of them and they are quick to dry by a camp fire.  ;D
Everywhere is within walking distance if you have the time.
