Aaahhhh, I thought it might be 25m. I think there is only two 50m pools in the whole of Ireland and none in the North. I always liked the thought that you were swimming 'half' the number of lengths you normally do for a given set. Mentally it makes getting through 3000m+ sessions seem easier even though the lengths are twice the distance. Weird but true  ???

I'm not 100% sure, id say it is about that height maybe a bit narrower but it has cool caves and stuff, I'm a bit foggy on the dimensions you might be better to call and ask, or go in and take a look, its a good job in any case.

Thanks, it's just down the road from me so it's worth a look just for the change.

Bangor has a new 50m pool
'Why are you wearing your pajamas?'
'They're not pajamas! It's my warm-up suit'
'Why do you need warming up for?'
'For doing stuff'
'What kind of stuff?'
'Super-cool stuff you wouldn't understand'
'Like sleeping?'

Ha, so it does! Would have been better in Belfast.

Had a great bouldering session with wmoulds at the Ozone last night, really enjoying the freedom of it without being tied to a rope and it's working wonders on getting the hands toughened up and building strength.

Heading over during the weekend if anyone fancies it.

specimanYak, I was over at the wall this morning with my Bro and they were stripping the boulder section right back to the bare boards (right hand corner). The wall is closed tomorrow for an event but you maybe knew that anyway with the notices they put up. Might be good for Sunday though???

It's the second round (northern rounds) of the Youth climbing series tomorrow. Go down and see some real climbing talent in action!

Yeah, as Typo has quoted it's the Junior climbing comp, but it finishes at 5pm then it's open for every-one again. I may actually pop over for a look around 4pm and learn something from the talented wee ones and then stay on for some bouldering.

Heading over to the Ozone climbing wall today if anyone's up for it.

Hi all you climbing people.  Going up to Banone for a weeks camping in July and was wondering if any of you know of any good solo routes up along the North Coast direction?  I know of one or two up along Bienvenna, good for abseiling too actually but was hoping for somewhere new to try out.

Any suggestions would be appreciated, might give the Ozone a try next Tuesday if you guys are still going and if I'm allowed out!!!!

Alright guys: is Tuesday evenings still going? I wasn't able to usually get there as I'd a class on that evening but that's changed now. Is there still people climbing on Tuesdays? (Or Other days: I'm quite near so it's handy!)
If you're thinking... "wait this might be a bit dangerous".... you're probably on the way to a good adventure!

specimanYak

I was there yesterday afternoon around 5ish and may pop over again today around the same time if that suits?
