As per title

Rumblebum, Whorya and myself are in
'Why are you wearing your pajamas?'
'They're not pajamas! It's my warm-up suit'
'Why do you need warming up for?'
'For doing stuff'
'What kind of stuff?'
'Super-cool stuff you wouldn't understand'
'Like sleeping?'

Fred

I would be interested. I havent got out camping this year and it would be nice to do it before the colder nights come in.

Theres nothing like an Irish summer...
...Except an Irish winter

Good stuff Fred.  I think Rumblebum and Typo-on are trying to agree a time to set off at.  Hoping to be sometime around 6:30-6:45pm to try to get up to catch the last of the sunset from the top.

Think I'm taking the boy camping Sat night somewhere with a bit less ascent. Shame, my summit camps have been few and far between lately.

I'm hoping to visit the summit either tonight or tomorrow morning.

There's an orienteering event in Donard Forest sat morning (from 11am), great fun if you haven't tried it before, hoping to have a go myself.

The next event is Autumn Trophy 1 at Donard Park in Newcastle on Saturday 8th September. Registration and parking will be in the main car park (J374306) and opens at 11am Starts run from 11.30am to 1pm. There are 4 courses Yellow, Orange, Long Orange and Green. Newcomers are welcome – If you've tried the WEE series then this is a good event to move up to. There is a good range of easier courses and there will be plenty of help and advice on hand.

Liam, myself and Rumblebum have things to get back for, so are probably talking about striking camp shortly after 9am in the morning.  We are hoping to take the Shan Slieve>Slievenamaddy route down into Donard Forest, for a bit of variation.

Just in case you are thinking of coming up in the morning.  Not sure if the other guys fancy that or not.

just to wet your appetite  :)

i popped up to join them, as usual i wish i'd brought my tent  >:(

after a staggered start, and some delays as someone forgot something  ::) ;D we all met up at the waterfall on the steps near the saddle

at the saddle and the craic was mighty, some discussion was had as to whether they should camp here as there was a good view and the summit was clouded out, but it was soon decided that a summit camp is a SUMMIT camp  ;D

commedagh summited, bit foggy

a quick drop down to the commedagh water pipe for some water top up

some long exposure shots

dinner time (note: lenny brought a chinese up, i like his style  :) )
