New stove
« on: March 11, 2010 »

Saw this online

Obviously I couldn't resist its titanium charms! So I ordered one (Only cost £7!) and cracked out the Hexi blocks. My first camping cooker was an old Army Issue hexi burner and I forgot how good they were. Using hexi blocks I can get a rolling boil in about 7-8mins using just under half a tab. Even better is that the stove weighs in at 10g! and takes up no space at all when folded. I can see myself using this for a while, especially now its coming into summer.

cool. Saw that stove myself.

AHHH I love the smell of hexi in the morning. Used to use it all the time with my crusader cup/cooker but it weighed a hell of a lot more the 7g.

That stove looks class... and no mechanical parts to go wrong or need maintenance either.  It almost looks too straight forward though, I'm a fiddler and I'd have a lack of anything to play with there ;)
