Folks would it be useful to suggest a time for serving up? If I was to suggest 7pm, would that allow enough time for us to get a fire going and get our shelters and tents up?

7 sounds good to me at least.
I plan to leave Belfast after having lunch then be down there and set up before dark since I have never been to that camping spot before.

Important Update 4
Okay, it looks like we're all set you shower of utter loons  ::)

Before anything else, this weekend is going to be proper wet and windy, you all know the score. Join in at your own peril, the safety and responsibility notice is linked below and couldn't be more relevant before setting out in torrential rain and gale force winds to cook a full turkey dinner ;)
The Safety and Responsibility Notice changes occasionally, please read it.
Read here : if you're coming, you're agreeing

Plans:
  • The meal has moved to Fofanny dam. Location and car parks are below.
  • We'll likely be at the south end which is on the Mourne Way as it comes from Ott direction. Spud says it's proper marshy on the way down from the road there.
  • We're aiming to be ready to eat by 7pm
  • To eat by 7pm we'll need a good fire going and shelters etc up so anyone that can come down a bit earlier and give a hand please do.
  • Anyone who wants my mobile number PM me, or if you want me to keep you updated, pm me your number.
  • The only food item we seem to be missing is mince pies & cream.
  • Considering the weather we wont be venturing out to look for anyone that doesn't arrive unless you've specifically texted me to tell me you're coming. If you don't turn up we'll assume the wife wouldn't let you go!
  • If you decide not to come please let us know so we can cover your items and not cook food you wont be there to eat.

This is what the weather looks like, there are Met office wind and rain warnings for the whole of Saturday:

Amusingly this is the rain radar for the time we want to be cooking:

My trip up tonight was ruined by the wind. It is horrendous up there. It caught my Bergen and through me to the ground. As a result in now home and my backs out. Needless to say its a no go for me tomorrow night as well. Massive apologies people. I'm bloody ragin!

That's a shame Moxy, get well soon and don't be eating that big cheese board all on your own ;)
