just a quick post to say cheers to nightjar. Tent is in great nick and he threw in a self inflating mat to boot. Now I'm itching to get it onto the hills.

Just one question. In the bag with the tent pegs there was a long strip of webbing with eyelets at both ends.............what is this for?

Thats for pitching the flysheet only. It is used across the front of the tent to hold the pole ends and give the structure some width stability. I have never used it but it is supposedly good for summer use if you want to strip the weight back by leaving the inner at home.
