This might be of interest,a long distance trail in New Zealand.  Te araora trail runs the full length of New Zealand both islands. Jez Bragg ran the whole trail recently in 53 days!! Its over 3000km long!!

Thanks for the info MG1, wife starting to think I'm nuts, but hopefully if I can get these done in the next 20 years if I live that long I'd fell I actually achieved something.

These are the biggies, but there is tons of other walks I want to do in the build up.

Now for the lottery or my HGV1  ;)

and a little off topic from the original "bucket list" I'm sure you'll concur. I was going to talk about, and in no particular order, the AT, Trans Mongolian Railway, visiting all the World Heritage sites, Malin to Mizen ...

I came across this website by Keith Foskett, who is an English long distance backpacker and writer.  His website has great blog entries of his hikes on The Appalachian Trail, Pacific Trail and El Camino del Santiago.  It's a great website, I'd be tempted to buy his books.
