I have a Trangia 25, which is good, and I also have a Swedish Army Trangia which I love. I think I  prefer the Swedish Army Trangia to the 25. Tell me what one you have and why you like it so much!

Swedish army one all the way, cheap and prefer it to the civi version, I like the shape better (oval) and robust and solid.  I use the swedish mostly, although I am awaiting the arrival of a Jetboil.

Primus Omnifuel - its like having a kitchen hob with you, except there's a boeing 747 taking off in the background.

Spud has a trangia and its always looked pretty sweet, not sure if his is the army or the 25, the fact that its quiet has always been pretty cool

i was cleaning my trangia tonight and found that it appeared to work better if i leave the adjustable burner lid off, then i cleaned out the wee holes around the edge and again performance seems to have increased (more singed fingers ::) ), is it my imagination or is it more powerful with the lid completely removed?

The mini Trangia, because of it's compact size, lightweight, and the general quietness.
Just add a fuel bottle and a mug and that's the cook-set complete.

I usually keep the frying pan lid on as i think it retains the heat a lot better and boils a bit faster.

I actually have never used the adjustable burner lid, it's either full burn or nothing, mostly to boil water.

I'm using a CampinGaz one from halfords. Hasn't failed yet, nice and compact. If it does die ill probabaly try a vango one, since I'm becoming a bit of a fanboy.

Trangia 27 for me, the 25 is a bit big for one surely.  Unless you like huge  steaks of course. 

Sometimes all I take is the base, windshield and kettle.  I have the 300ml fuel bottle which keeps me from carrying too much fuel.  I'm amazed that some have rarely used without the simmer ring , it is far better without it.  I find that the simmer ring fully opened is enough for a simmer, anymore closed than that and it doesn't do much.

I could do with doing a few more exciting things on it.

I have the 25, have had it for over 15 years and has never let me down! I like the fact its bigger, especially when cooking for 2, and of course the aforementioned steak!!

Trangia for me also not sure of the model but its quite large have had it for over 20yrs totally bullet proof great bit of kit.

RedLeader the difference is that the Trangia 25 is bigger and it is the civilian version of the Trangia while the Swedish Army is the millitary version. Also the Trangia 25 is around £80 and the Swedish is only £20.
