Was watching a few of those Survivalist YouTube videos and they are always talking about their Everyday Carry (EDC). Got me thinking what junk I carry about everyday.... And curious about what everyone else carries. My list is thus:

1) Keys fitted with a mini- mag lite. Mag lite speaks for itself but interestingly the light is the same length/shape as a Japanese Kuboton. A self defence weapon used for attacking pressure points and joint manipulations. With a little bit of practice one can get quite adept with one. Recommended. Looks innocuous aswell... Hey: it's a mini flashlight after all!

2) Phone: IPhone 4 in a Griffin Survivor Case. This case has saved my phone numerous times. Has a waterproofing effect also. Can take quite a knock.

3) Zippo Lighter: I'd like to say its just to have a lighter but it's for my smokes. Definately recommend carrying one for handiness tho.

4) Swiss Army Knife (Climber) : this handy little tool needs no introduction. This model gets the balance between having enough tools and not being too bulky.

5) Moleskin Diary and pen: Organise my life in this little book! Also handy for when the odd note needs made.

6) Gerber Remix Tactical Knife: Nice wee utility knife. Sturdy. Very sharp. Handy in general.

7) Clean Cloth Hankerchief. Always classy when someone has a little cry and you can give them a Hankerchief. If you can do nothing else for them this small act of kindness goes far.

That's my list. It's pretty small and dosent really require any discipline to carry day to day. Anyone anything different?

I need to double check what I actually paid as it was before the price drop down and I got all the extras. It was a Sunday morning confirmation email reminding me of that I had bought it  :-\ drink and Internet don't mix

Lmao drinks an google is sure a bad combo, so you got one with all the extras. What was the extras and was it worth the money.

I think it's a good idea to have one of those to be honest.

I've not got it yet should arrive soon. The extras where £10 for an extra colour of paracord and personalised name plate. The postage was $16 I think. Will double check mail on my lunch and let you know

Is that the Fenix Garmin GPS watch?  :o .... Been toying with the idea of getting one: pretty pricey tho. Would you recommend it?

Nah it's a protrek. http://www.casio.co.uk/products/timepieces/pro-trek//Product/PRW-1500-1VER/

No fancy GPS, just digital compass, Altimeter, thermometer, tidal indicator, barometer, and other normal watch stuff.

Was given as a present a few years ago. GPS watch sounds pretty cool though!

I would also add a ferro rod or firesteel and a small pouch (teabag sized) of cotton wool soaked in vaseline.

It's always a good idea to have the knowledge and ability to light a fire - whatever the conditions - even if you're soaking wet
