lets hope it stays that way. If it does stay that way, then it was a good call for me to move the easter camp from the 23rd march to the 30th march.

Does anyone fancy a walk beforehand?

 I was thinking of starting early and parking at either meelmore lodge or the trassy carpark - then from there walking the trassy path to hares gap, then between Commedagh and Donard and onwards to the forest. It's probably a 3 hour walk but max elevation of 570 so hopefully still above freezing. Not sure if I will bother if alone - but maybe I can recruit someone to join? :)

Took a look at the camp site for saturday, there's still snow on the ground so hopefully it clears by then. The old tree shelter is dilapidated, shame.

well I will be there and my brother will be there.  only about 4 people have confirmed there going aswell. but people might just turn up anyway.

as for the snowy ground. That doesn't look to bad. most of it should be away hopefully by saturday.

If there is still alot of snow up at the campsite might be an idea to camp down at the old shelter site RE SpecimanYaks second pic there dosent seem to be just as much snow. just an idea.. :)

I'm up for this. Unsure what time I'll be kicking about at, have to work in the morning. I'll track you down. Watch out for a tall fella and possibly a wee ginger dog (aka my hot-water bottle) :)
