As Dowser is currently tucked up in his bivvy bag in a puddle on the side of a mountain i reckon you might be able to squeeze a late entry in  ;)

Thank you to everybody that entered... Some really crackin' photos this month.  I'll bet Phil_b is glad I was tucked up in a muddy puddle on Saturday night as it allowed him to sneak in an awesome last minute entry.  It got my vote  ;)

Photographers for this months "Favourite" shots were:

Entry 1 - Brendanmcc
Entry 2 - Clairebear
Entry 3 - Daithi2004
Entry 4 - Gardener
Entry 5 - Landyliam
Entry 6 - Mourneman
Entry 7 - MudGoat
Entry 8 - Phil_b (Winner)
Entry 9 - Simon
Entry 10 - Wrh51

Phil_b, Please could you pm me with the theme of your choosing for February's competition.

Thanks guys ;D. That photo was taken this January in Playa Blanca, Lanzarote at sunrise. It was the most spectacular sunrise I have seen and the sunset the evening before was similar.
I will decide on a topic for this month tonight and let Dowser know.

well done Phil, you got my vote, do you remeber how long the exposure was on that?

my pic was also taken on holidays last year, a view over lake garda during a 4 hour distant nighttime thunderstorm (and i didn't feel a single drop of rain  :o ) you can just make out a bit of lightning in it too, i used a 60 second exposure, pity no-one voted for me  ;D

think outside, no box required

Mourneman

Are we there yet?

I never noticed the sky until you pointed it out.. and i love a good thunder and lightning storm, the lights on the land were all i looked at :(.. I voted for no 7 :) all were brilliant in there own right.

Liam, that was just a 25 second exposure using a graduated filter to hold back the light in the sky and balance to exxposure a bit.
I voted for no 1 like it a lot and would love to see a sight like that myself.

I would like to have "high" as the topic for February,  whether it is high mountains, high buildings, views from up high or from planes, helicopters etc. Should give everyone a bit of scope.

Well done Phil
Amazing shot!
I took that pic at sunset on New Year's Eve (2009 I think)
Rubbish visibility until we broke through the clouds at the summit of Binnian and there was the excellent cloud inversion.
