I had a fantastic year and made some great new mates, walked half the mourne way, walked the moyle way, camped on bearnagh, took part in the 7 7s, (well was walking down bearnagh while it was on  ;D) went to the Christmas and Halloween camps, along with various trips to annalong wood and various walks in the mournes, all washed down with various huge steaks and a couple of litres of jack Daniels!  ;) thanks to all my ni wild mates for all the craic, looking forward to more of the same in 2013! My aim is to walk as much of the ulster way as possible, we will see how that goes! ;D

It's a bit hazy, but I definitely got a bivvy in on Doan, and out by Helen's Bay with Oisin , and up on the big binnian summit camp!.
Climbed my first outdoor route on Eagle Rocks but unfortunately never got out the rest of the year to expand on it.
Spent the weekend kayaking, coasteering, and climbing sea-stacks out in Donegal.
Was introduced to mountain biking in Tollymore and Donard.
Otherwise did a lot of running...
Mourne Way Ultra
Seven Sevens (hurt the most)
Mourne Mountain Marathon
Causeway Coast Ultra!

This year will have a lot more running and mountain biking. I may get some more bivvies, treks or a few days away in the summer.

*edit - seems I missed a few things! It all seems so long ago...suppose it was a year ago  ;D

I've had a fairly busy year alright, but an amazing one too. This is the first year I really got into the outdoors: did the Mourne Mountain Marathon, did Dublin Marathon, did half marathons in more towns than I care to remember.

I had my first summit camp the night before the 7/7's "we're not the checkpoint" lol! Did a bit of wild camping here, there and everywhere.

Did the Mourne Way 10k and camped around Rostrevor which was awesome.

Walked the Camino De Santiago in Spain. Beautiful experience altogether.

Did my first bit of climbing late in the year too.

All in all a brilliant year! .... But not as good as the one to come!
