What time is everyone leaving at on Saturday?

Or is anyone else travelling down on the bus?

We'll Guys and Girls, the count down to the Christmas Dinner has begun... Just 5 more sleeps (or possibly one if your an insomniac).

We will be aiming to serve dinner at 7:30pm, after pre-dinner Mulled Wine, so everybody involved with the food can plan on how they are going to have their contribution heated and ready to serve at that time.

7:30pm is a bit later than last year but with it being closer to Christmas it will also allow peeps to get out and get a bit of Christmas Shopping done or spend some time with the family time before disappearing into the hills.  Always got to consider the Brownie Points.

Also, knowing what time grub will be served will allow folks to have a late lunch etc so that they are not drooling all over camp with hunger and anticipation of the feast that awaits  :D

I am planning to cook my Mashed Potato and Champ fresh that morning and then head straight to camp.  I'm hoping to be at the campsite for about 2pm to re-arrange the fire circle, to accommodate the extra bums, and to try and fashion some sort of heating rack for warming the various foods.

I am soooooooo looking forward to this.

Merry Christmas one and all!!!   ;)

I am really looking forward to this too! Myself and mourneman should be arriving around 1630-1700 all being well! We had discussed a smaller fire for cooking away from the main camp fire? surfnscenic said at the last camp he has some grills from an old barbecue that he could bring, just means we could heat the food more gently and would be better for keeping stuff warm etc?
Anyone any thoughts?

Yeap... sounds like a plan.  We have talked about this a few times but were just too lazy to put it into action!!!  :-[

If I'm up at 2:30ish, as I plan to be, I will try and make up another smaller fire pit close-by that we can set grills etc on.

Man, I can almost taste the Turkey already  :D
