I hope to be there by mid-afternoon.  I've never camped in the wood.  It would be helpful if someone could leave a marker of some sort where to cross the fence into the wood.  Thank you.

No need, you will see the camp from the path (more likly if there is a fire going)

Its about 100m from the end of the wood.

That was another really amazing camp... A picture is worth a thousand words as they say so heres about 20,000  worth which will save me a load of typing  ;)

With lamb on the menu, and not knowing how long it would take to cook, I had myself a light snack before setting off:

Just getting camp set up... We were expecting rain so a couple of Tarps were arrange for protection from the elements:

A passing family just couldn't resist the draw of the open fire and called over to say hello:

They were fairly impressed with our Leg of Lamb... So was I to be honest:

The Lamb at various stages of roasting - Total cook time 3 hours approx

Rock Lobster, the Hardest Lobster around, dropped in for dinner too:

There was even some Cajan Roast Rabbit as an appetiser

Wee shot of the campsite set-up

Time to carve Larry Lamb... It was cooked to perfection.

Chow time... Lamb Wraps and Pitta with Red Current Gravy

Redleader enjoying a Cuban and the feeling of a belly full of Lamb

The rain came on as forecast and the tarps made themselves useful and kept us comfortable

Just enough left for a bit of Supper:

No idea how the mulled wine went unphotographed but there was roughly 5 litres of the stuff washing through the camp which help take our minds off the rain  :D

Another unforgettable night...
Well done everybody who braved the elements
 and enjoyed the grub
 :)

Brilliant night lads, the lamb was nothing short of genius. Cooked to perfection old school, can't wait to try it again! Lobster, lamb with redcurrant gravy, mice pies and mulled wine followed by a Cuban thanks to Matt the international traveler. What a night!! Just a shame about the torrential rain :(
