Hi all
« on: September 05, 2012 »

Hello everyone, I'm located in Co.Armagh and enjoy a good walk in the Mournes. Have been enjoying it for years however I feel that I want to step it up a level and do more walking around Ireland and UK.

I also do a bit of cycling at the moment and dip in and out (mainly out right now) of running. Stumbled across this site and thought it seemed like a great place to meet like minded people and pick up some good tips

Welcome! Is there much to do in the way of outdoors activities around Armagh?

Cheers for the welcome! As for things to do in co.armagh, let me think. The tow path runs through part of it running from Newry to portadown, it's very peaceful for a walk or cycle and is long and flat!!

There is also a small wood called Clare glen near Tandragee. It is used by walkers, runners, fishing as the river cusher runs through it, mountain bikers and canoeists.

In Craigavon there is the lakes with various cycle paths around it, there is a nice 3 mile route for a run.

Thats all I can think of now but lots to do.
