Dam walk

 Took a dander along the Silent valley & Ben Crom dams today,came across some interesting thing's while walking around them...

The overflow system on Silent valley dam which has a 25 metre drop, :P & is surprisingly easy to walk over to...?

instead of taking the straight route up from the top of the car park,past the ponds, you can take off to the left halfway up the car park, i think it's the black route, adds a few kms onto the journey to the dam, but also brings you through the remains of the workers village.

also have heard that the whole workers village is still beneath the water at spelga, they cant get divers to go down to check the state of the walls as the scaffold is still in place from 1910 odd!!!!

Great stuff. I might go back and do this walk again as a gentle reintroduction to exercise.
