Photo's below of Peter who i'am hoping with be joining us for our camp in Annalong valley,Peter's an experienced climber & it would be great if he could pass some of his knowledge onto us,as long as he's back from Norway in time. I've asked him could he show some basic rock climbing, safety gear,& rope work

Ok so im gonna try and organise this wee trip and overnighter for the 28th april, a bit of scrambling, caving and exploring, the proposed camp will be around the blue lough area, i havnt camped there before so if anyones gowing for a stroll around the area any time soon, your thoughts for possible sites would be welcomed.

Stick your name forward sure if your up for this.

Same date as the sponsored walk in Kerry. Just a heads up, incase some want to do both.

Yeah , i know it sorta clashes with a few other trips but im thinking it could be a good plan B for the ones that cant make Johns Kerry trip, there still seems to be quite a bit of interest for it and if anyone else is wanting to go we may just have to run with it.

I hope to come up and join yous for the camp, work permitting! What about camping in annalong wood? Plenty of firewood and it would be more sheltered than blue lough? Just a suggestion I'm happy to camp anywhere!

Annalong wood is out of bounds at the moment, was last week anyway, something to do with this tree disease, there's signs at Carricklittle & the stile explaining, perfect wee spot if you follow the trek past the wood, then turn right,it's about a third of the way down the forest line ,above the river, stream
