Was a great night, clear skies and the wind dropped nicely, no snow though. Beautiful morning as well with frozen tents  :)

I had a great day up in the hills myself, it involved sunny spells, blizzards, high gusts of wind and hail. Took a trip up Doan and contoured round Loughshannagh to the saddle and then trailed my bro up it...

Sorry to make you all jealous but that was a great night, i very nearly pulled out too but managed to drag myself out of a cosy warm house at 8.45pm despite a promise of pizza takeaway with the family. I wrapped up in many layers to combat the bitter cold, of course once i started going up the hill with a very heavy backpack i was sweating like a *****  in a *****  (self censored  ;D ) not helped along by the fact i'd just eaten a curry fried rice in the car park  ::)  got to the top 30 mins later (beat your time matthew and satnav records to prove it  :P ) was was greeted by a wee snow flurry and and 2 lads talking shite round a cosy firelog. The wind had dropped away the the sky was mostly clear giving some amazing views. The only damper on the evening was the fact that i had to stay sober  >:(

potential bivvy spot with a view above our camp site, not for the faint hearted though

Yeah nice pics lads and it looks like you had another top night in the hills.

Hen wasnt a mountain that ive thought much about but its now found its way onto my list.

Thats the kind of morning that would just be screaming out for a coffee and bacon soda at meelmore lodge cafe.
