Hen
« on: February 02, 2012 »

Wee dander up Hen today with Mountain goat, good to get the muscles working again, enjoyed a bit of scrambling on the torrs, tryed to drop a travel bug at Hen cache, but the it was gone,"Muggles"( none geocaching types ) then off to the summit for a few cups of tea, before getting a few more geocaches on our way home, found a super tent pitch on the lower torr, think i'll be trying it out next week ;D

Looks like a steep enough scramble, Harry's doing well!

We passed by the foot of hen on Saturday and made a mental note to come back for an overnighter. Looks like a top day.

John, you really know how to make us all jealous.  Hen is a great wee mountain.

It is great to see Harry out and about.

That mountain was my first summit with the scouts a few years back. Thinking about its the only real considerable summit I've done to date. Slemish just doesn't seem to match up to everyone's expectations of a mountain.  ;D

Slemish is nearly 90m higher than Hen and with a greater prominence.

And in the "NI Wild - What happened next competition" my entry would be that Harry was last seen legging-it after his flask which took off down Hen Mountain.
