i'm hoping to do a wee walk on tue 27th to burn off some of those tunnocks tea cakes and mince pies i love so much, all welcome to join me (just make sure you have the appropriate gear for the conditions, if in doubt, just ask), here's a rough idea of what i hope to do

meet at meelmore lodge about 1045am for an 11am start
(note: if you're planning to stop at mcdonalds for breakfast you'll have to run to catch up  ;D )

i plan to walk up the trassey track to hares gap, then summit slievenaglogh, slieve corragh and commedagh, drop down to the donard saddle and join the brandy pad back to hares gap, depending on how energitic i feel, i could then be tempted to summit bearnagh, but i doubt it.

plans will probably change due to weather, fitness levels, but hope to stick to that start time, plenty of turn back points for those not wanting to go the whole way, so bring your turkey sandwiches and a hot flask of tea for a nice wee stroll among the peaks maybe bagging a few geocaches along the way  ;)

i'll probably do an easy walk for the kids later that week, maybe hen mountain, will see what the weather forecast says nearer the time

an alternative route i had in my head to go into the pot of legawherry from corragh and go back via lukes mountain, a route i haven't done before, but we'll decide on the day with what direction the winds blowing, as long as we all start at the same place were flying  :)

£4 charge, you could also park in the car park down the road for free (approx half mile away) or be really cheeky and park on the road outside meelmore  ::)
(note: yearly parking permit available for £35)

Yes all welcome, might have a few unfit family members going (hope they don't read this  ::) ) so we could end up with some only doing a short walk. As for dogs, we will be crossing a sheep infested area so please be responsible and put them on leads.

looks like it won't be too bad a day tomorrow

Tuesday:

Cloudy with light rain at first, clearing away northwards during the morning. Then drier and a little brighter for a time but rain and strong southerly winds returning towards evening. Maximum temperature 11 °C.

hopefully we'll be in the gap between the morning and evening rain  :)
