Of all the place's i hiked, climbed & walked Slieve Binnian is by far my favourite place, this mountain has it all, wonderful rock formations like the"Black Castles"it's summit torr &" Buzzard's Roost".think i've hiked it about 7 times this year already, although it seem's different every time i reach the top.Anyone else got a favourite place?

while binnion is indeed brilliant, my top spot goes to slieve bearnagh, its the first mourne mountains i ever climbed so it has sentimental value, and i've only actually done it 4 times so far, but i love the area of the mournes it is in so i enjoy the walk there as much as the summit, reaching the hare's gap is always a special moment.

and doesn't it have a lovely sillhouette (taken from slieve beg)

and best of all i can see slieve bearnagh from my house
(if i go to the edge of my garden and stand on my tippy toes  ;D )

It's Bearnagh for me too, what a fantastic summit camp.

Nice pics you lot, your last photo Matt has me thinking its a shame the summers now gone as im now thinkin that bernagh really would be a top spot to burn a firelog, drink some wine, and watch the sun go down.

I can't wait for the snow, a winter camp up there would be fantastic.

I would have to say Bearnagh or Doan summits.

I would have to say Bearnagh or Doan summits.

I'd have to say Doan is my favourite too, I've often spent hours just sitting at the top taking time to myself, reading or thinking.

I'll have to give Bearnagh a go soon. I've always avoided it thinking it would be too hard an ascent but judging by the great photos posted here and elsewhere on the site it just has to be done!
