Old Ash Tree to good home
« on: September 14, 2011 »

In case its of interest to any of you craft people and whittlers out there, I cut down a beautiful but dangerous old Ash tree recently and will be dumping it next week. Most of it has been cut into 12-20 inch lengths, diameter approx 12 inches, Its yours if you can collect in Belfast. There is loads of it , its a shame to just send it to a landfill.

Where about in Belfast are you...?

Not much good for whittling, but it would make brilliant fire wood...

I could take a car load off you...

The customers house is just of the springfield road in Turf Lodge, There is plenty of weight in the wood so a trailer would be better, you can take all you want Drongo. Tomorrow or Monday would suit as im planning to get into Mournes Friday, sat. and the skip is coming on Monday. But I'm sure I could arrange something if this doesn't work for you. Paul

Aw it's a shame to lose a lovely old tree but I'm sure the customer didn't take the decision for no reason. I'm sure there'll be plenty of takers, I'm too far away unfortunately.

Are we there yet?
