I'm away to England with work.

All the best man! Enjoy the new vistas and lack of a ferry trip to lots of cool places  8)

i've just realised this is next weekend and not this weekend  :-[ which means i should be able to stay out all night now that i can get the permission paperwork completed with 7 days notice as required under article 39 para 2b "neither party may remain out after midnight without informing the other party in writing in triplicate with 7 days notice" :D

Liam did you not get a copy of the 2005 Hill-time Regulations Order (as amended 2007)?

I would refer you to Appendix VII where it states "notwithstanding restricitions imposed due to late notification under the regulations as stated in article 39 para 2b, an application may still be considered using the Hilton 'Living Well' Spa Fastrack process (see sect 3.1.12 for futher details)."

The appropriate fees (or vouchers) should be enclosed with the application.

My Hill-time Regulations Order is a massive book and when you open it there's only one page and it simply says "You're not going anywhere until you've finished the kitchen" :P

I'd be up for this, i just have to try and organise a way of getting there.

Where are you based?

I'm based in Belfast but i should be able to get a lift there from Dromara, will know tomorrow.
I'm new to the forum so where does everyone meet up in Newcastle and what time?

(man alive, i've messed up this whole quote thingy).

We were thinking for this camp if we shouldn't sniff out a slightly alternative camp spot as the area we usually use was extremely bare of dead wood the last weekend we were there. There is a spot through the felled clearing that we usually collect wood from and Matt has spotted another potential newly cleared spot lower down the hill.

I've included a map with our usual spot, the spot through the clearing and the new potential spot. We're thinking of coming up, checking the recently cleared spot to see if it's suitable, if so we camp there, if not we'll move to the spot through the clearing and in the event that it is also unsuitable then we'll move to our normal spot.

Issue us how we organise this if we're not all going at once. Me and Matt aren't expecting to leave Belfast until 330pm meaning we wont be at the campsite until 530pm. I'm thinking if anyone is heading earlier then they can reckie and text me the outcome, or all just meet in the car park at 430pm and shoot up together.

Thoughts?

I'll be happy to meet in the car park at 4.30pm and head up as a group as i'm not too sure of the area, looking forward to this wherever we set up camp.

My plan (as concrete as my plans go) is to set off from Donard car park at 1615hrs, go up the Glen River, then  Beg, Cove and Lamagan (i have something to collect there  8) ) then back along Cove and Beg, have a look down the Devils Coachroad to scare myself  :o , and then summit Commedagh and down to the campsite via Shanslieve, ETA 2030hrs. Despite having full overnight shore leave granted in advance from the boss i have to leave about 2230hrs to pick up my son from work and take him to my bro-in-laws birthday party so won't be camping  :'( , as usual i'm trying to be 4 places at once ::) anyone who wants to come along for all or part of the hike let me know before 4pm on 07753 880167, you can always drop your gear off at the campsite on the way up if someone is there to mind it.

Not sure I'm going to be able to borrow the car for this. Will anyone be passing through Ballynahinch with a spare seat?
