Hi all,

I came across these new apps for iphone & android (no BB that I could see,, sorry  >:( ) However one down side is, the "My Tour Talk" is very resource hungry a whopping 17MB and I just couldnt give it standing room at that size!   "The Pocket Northern Ireland" and "View Ranger" I couldnt find on Droid  ??? Boooo!

I did manage to download "Take a Hike" and its a pretty useful little app I have to say,,,,some nice wee handy features  ;D

Not sure what they mean about the "View Ranger" app:

Quote
The four new apps are available to download now and include:

- Pocket Northern Ireland consists of a detailed tourist map, audio commentary and information on various attractions here
- Take a Hike is a walking app which will help visitors search for and share information on the best walking trails in Northern Ireland
- My Tour Talk includes driving and walking tours and information on attractions and accommodation
- View Ranger offers outdoor enthusiasts mapping, guides and trip sharing ideas.

I know the first three apps are all available on the Apple App Store, but the last one about View Ranger has me miffed.  There is already an excellent app called ViewRanger for iPhone, Android and Symbian.  As far as I am aware they have mapping for Northern Ireland, but the app has been out for quite a while now and I don't see any connection between it and the other three apps above.  I've been meaning to do a write up on the ViewRanger app as it really is superb, even just in the Open Maps flavour.
