Glasgowbury Festival In July.
« on: May 16, 2011 »

Hello everyone.

Last year me and my boyfriend found out about this "small but massive" festival. Its up on the Sperrins just outside Draperstown. Last year it was amazing first of all the music and line up was great but the views from the camping area and the actual stage areas where stunning.

I wasn't sure whether or not to put this up on here has I haven't seen any events like this on here but I thought I might as well just see first.

Its Saturday 23rd July. 40 pound for Friday and Saturday night camping as-well as the main music event. But i guess you could buy the day ticket and then do more wilder camping off the beaten course.

Let me know has it would be great to have some people come along with us.

Yes it is. The biggest name last year I would of said was General Fiasco. Its more rock, country, some punk, acoustic. If that helps any. There is some of the line up out at the moment but 30 or more to be announced. All bands from Northern & Southern Ireland.

Now added a comedy stage to the line up also.

Joe rooney (Father Damo from father ted)
John Colleary (who also made his name on RTE by featuring on Savage Eye),
Colin Geddis, Micky Barlett, Adam Laughlin, Ruaidhri Ward, Shane Todd and Sean Hegarty.

Rest of line up for music is to be added sometime next week. :)

You should come along its for every age. If you have children too they can come along. There is a family campsite but i'm guessing you could wild camp somewhere too if wished. Last year there was a few familys and even a old man who brought along his fold out seat to the gigs. :)
