I thinking of getting one of these as a lightweight water-resistant\wind-resistant coat, for cycling to work, bit of running and hiking/camping.

Anyone have any personal experience ??

I already have a Marmot Precip, so maybe I should just walk away from the nice reduced jacket (down to £40 from £70 at cotswold).

The Precip is a full waterproof - this is more of a softshell so will be less weatherproof but magnitudes more breathable.

I've been seriously considering one of these recently:Toss up between this, Montane Dyno (almost identical really but different colours and slightly heavier), and Marmot Ether Driclime.

The Rab Vapour-Rise is excellent and this uses the same outer fabric* so I'm tempted for summer: it's still light, even if it is 3x the weight of my current montane windshirt, but has more features that I would like such as pockets, and a hood which is very useful for instant protection when you hit a blasting spot (instead of stopping to put on a hat, or suffering unduly).

* I find the Equilibrium to be mega breathable and fast drying. You can feel slight air movement through it, but it regulates your temperature amazingly over a wide range of conditions.
