contents of both rucksacks was as follows:
5 litres of water
6 spuds
2 carrots
2 pans
salt and pepper
water purification tabs.

2 lighters and 60 fags
10 or 15m of paracord
5m x 8m cheap tarp
.22lr rifle and 50 bullets
.243 rifle and 20 bullets

fried sika liver for breakfast. rabbit stew for dinner both nights. 2 days 1 cold night.
sorry i didn't take any pics, camp was so basic it really needs pics to show  ::)

Would love to give something like that a blast or setting traps for Rabbits instead of rifles.  Rabbit stew is hard to beat though yum yum.

Sounds like an awesome trip. What was the plan if you didn't manage to kill anything to eat?

no beers, as beer and guns = dead mate  ::)
if we hadn't shot anything we would have had some fine tasting spud and carrot stew. but having 600 acres to hunt, there wasn't much risk.

only big prob/issue is that for safety, the rifles must be locked in a car whilst we sleep, so we had to take jeep to the camp.

as far as snares go, i don't use them, they slowly strangle the rabbit. and as i like to eat my rabbit meat fresh i prefer to shoot, and gut pronto, rabbit left with guts intact will quickly taint the meat
