You're a scholar and a gent!

Chuck, could you bring your two radios and lend one to one of the other checkpoints? That way we would have enough for one at each checkpoint.
yup, sure.

Cheers lads, sounds like a plan, give me two weeks to see if this works and then I'm there.

Btw if there is any freebies like a spare tee shirt etc to say that I have been there.. Keep it for me lol..
Hate missing out on these things..

I've had a slight problem in my plans and won't be able to drive there. Would anyone be able to give me a lift from Ballynahinch direction? Or is the Burrendale within walking distance of Newcastle?

Do they still need any volunteers for this?

Technically we have enough but there's no upper limit on numbers if you wanted to help (well as many as we can squeeze in a couple of minibuses!)

Drop me a PM if you're interested - you'd need to have all your own gear suitable for a wet night on the hills.

It's going to get a bit brutal up there if that storm forecast for between 1pm and 7pm doesn't blow through. Great chance to test out your wet kit.....and to get friendly with your fellow team member if your ten blows down  ;D

With our climate I very much doubt it.

We'll be at Hares Gap, Donard/Commedagh saddle, Donard Summit and Bog of Donard. Feel free to drop by for a brew!

I know my following blurb is no use in helping out... I will be in the mournes tonight but I cant help as 'I dont do not sleeping' I would be fit for nothing the rest of the weekend. Although I might see some of you tonight as ATM I plan to head up the Trassey, going to give my micro-tarp a whirl.
