The great outdoors - tv show
« on: January 13, 2011 »

A new show is on bbc2 tonight at 11:20. It is a three part show, I don't think it is a reality show, about a hillwalking group. Might be some nice scenery on it. Could be tripe though!

Definitely, my son was laughing his head off at the nerdy rambling club leader saying he was just like me  :'(

And Christine from Barnstaple was great, she even brought a flare gun on a ramble !

...with her all singing and dancing jacket that even has a pocket for her polo mints.  Laughed my head off at the "people like that want a good kick up the a**e" bit.

Didn't get much of chance to suss it out before posting the topic last night, but it is a wee bit like The Office goes rambling.  The premise of the show is about a rambling club that wants to become the largest one in the Chilterns but are struggling to attract new members, mainly down to their autocratic (self-appointed?) leader.

Well worth checking out on iplayer if you missed it.
