Just for info, you can search Youtube for the video id that is embedded in the URL (In this case gzrXkLrh3NI - case doesn't matter).

Very pretty :)

But one thing's missing from the video: wind. :)

Yeap... It really does look very nice but as Chuck says "no wind present".

Unfortunately, I reckon it would last 5 minutes on an average day in the Mournes  :P

true, maybe tho, just out in the forests, not in the mournes, the winds are not as bad.

still a fine looking tarp.

I've been considering just pegging the four corners flat and sliding under for summit bivvys :) Might suffocate though once the JD and sleeping pills kick in :P

It's a nice setup but a video showing how he did it would be more useful IMHO

I think you would need some sort of clearance to keep the condensation/dew of your kit.  I suppose you could just peg out the four corners and place a walking pole, at it's lowest setting, right in the centre creating a very low Teepee structure.  Might be an idea to reinforce the centre of the tarp with gaffer tape so the pole doesn't push out through.

Would be interesting to try it  8)

The DPM tarps have a fabric strip up the middle so it could work. Think the pole would shift in the wind though.
