The first months category shall be........... On the Streets

submissions to be posted before the end of the month !

I think the photo should have to be new (not from your back catalogue) - No cheating !

The rules are still open to discussion.

Hopefully anyone who wants to take part will leave a message so we know who's in and stuff !

Think the first months should be "summit camp" seeing as you will all be in the hills next wkend together  :) I'm sure there would be a few good story telling shots and a few crackin grumpy faces in morning when lens is shoved in bivvy/tent  ;D

It's technically a good idea except no-one will want to lug their bulky DSLRs all the way up to a summit  ::)

Well, do we want to do summit or street ?

Summit is handy, but i thought, it would be good to try to get away from the outdoors, for a change....

Stick to the original plan... "On the Street" I like it..! Gets you thinking and will be interesting to see everybodies interpretation.

I think the summit camp would just produce 50 photos, all very similar, and if it doesn't go so well on your first take you can't really go back out and try again later in the week.

Also... It's gonna be kinda dark up there, for most, upon arrival and if it's raining in the morning then this months photo comp could be sort of ruined.

I want to get up in the morning, shake off a hangover, and relax over a nice breakfast before conquering Meelbeg.

Just my opinion... but I'll go with the group!

Just thought it's a bit unfair for those not going on next weekends Summit Camp... The compititions for everybody on the forum and I can just see those not on the summit camp trying to bluff one in their back gardens... It would be like NASA saying they landed on the moon then staging it all in a warehouse  ::)

I agree but is this not a outdoor website?

Most streets I know are outside... I do have a scalextric in the roofspace   ;)

:o YEEHAW!!! The Photo Comp has just got very interesting  :o

We have very kindly been donated a Prize for our first months subject "On the Street".  Closing Date for Entries: 12 noon on 31st January 2011.

Scribble has very kindly donated a bottle of Bushmills Black Bush, from the world's oldest licensed distillery, as a prize for this months photo challenge  ;D

Prize giving will take place around a campfire in the hills, early February.

So get that artistic grey matter fired up and lets see what visual treats you can come up with.

P.S. There wont be a bottle of Black bush every month, so make the most of it  ;)
