Please post here with food discussions for tthe Xmas camp on 4th December.
Original thread here:
http://www.ni-wild.co.uk/forum/index.php?topic=1500

The main items we need to organise for a Slap Up Christmas dinner (As they say in the Beano) would be:

Turkey, Stuffing and Gravy - Dowser & Redleader
Ham - DryBag
Mashed Potatoes (Smash is Fine) - Suspectmonkey
Chipolatas wrapped in Bacon - Redleader
Roast Parsnips and Roast Potaotes - Chris
Sprouts - Suspect Monkey
Gravy - Suspect Monkey
Cranberry Sauce - Matthewrblack
Christmas Pudding with Custard and Brandy Sauce - Matthewrblack
Mince Pies and Cream - Kat
Mulled Wine - Chuck
Christmas Crackers - Fourman

Christmas Music by Redleader and the Snowmen

Something like this:

Obviously we do not have access to an Aga in Donard Wood so if you can pre-cook your offerings so that they just need warmed through it will leave more time for messing about around the festive campfire.

If I've missed anything out feel free to add it in... I don't want to hear anybody claiming the leaves that are sticking out of the turkeys rear end  :P

Reply below, stating what you would like to provide and I will put your name beside it above.  I Bagsy not doing the dishes  ;)

If Chris could do some of his honey glazed turnips that would be awesome... they tasted great last time we did the fire cooking!

Nice one DryBag... I thought the ham would be the last to be picked from the list. Good Lad!!!  I'll look forward to munching on a slice round the campfire.  ;D

I'm in sounds great - love the flyer too nice additiona with Mr Socky! I will bring the chipolatas wrapped in bacon - god I'm starvin now thinking about it

Great stuff Timbo.  Chipolatas are one of my favourite parts of a Crimbo feast. Bring on the Pigs in Blankets washed down with a fine Mulled Wine  ;D

I'll help out Timbo with the mulled wine.

Should be able to trundle a couple of these up to Donard wood no problem ;)

Well, splitting the cost and likely carrying half. Not cooking it on account of the fact no-one wants a dose of Xmas food poisoning!

I'll do the spuds as well then, not like a bag of parsnips and a jar of honey is going to break the bank!
