Do you guys know of anywhere who offers courses on Map Reading & compass work? I have a map and compass but don't have a clue how to use it.

I'd agree. Get a book on orienteering and once you understand the basics get out onto a defined path in the hills and mapread your way round watching for contours and map items. Getting out with someone that knows what they're doing will help loads too.

Hi JT,   im recovering from a serious leg injury and i am just about ready to start with gentle walks in the mountains,  i am also a ML.  if you like we could meet up sometime and i could go through the basics with yourself, to help give you an understanding of the map and compass on the practical side,  but try and read up on it,
